1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you use social login, your name and profile information provided by Google or Apple. We also collect your quiz progress, test scores, streak data, and app usage analytics to improve your experience.

2. Queue Jumper — RSA Credential Storage

If you use our Queue Jumper feature, you may choose to provide your MyRoadSafety (RSA) email address and password. We use these credentials solely to log into MyRoadSafety on your behalf and check for earlier driving test cancellation slots.

Encryption: Your RSA password is encrypted using AES-256-GCM on our server before being stored in our database. The encryption key is stored separately from the encrypted data. Your password cannot be viewed by our team in its stored form.

Deletion: You can unlink your RSA account at any time from the Queue Jumper page, which permanently deletes your stored credentials. Credentials are also deleted if your subscription expires or you delete your L-Plate account.

We never share, sell, or use your RSA credentials for any purpose other than checking for test cancellations on your behalf.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to: provide and personalize the L-Plate service; track your learning progress; send you streak reminders and study notifications (if enabled); process payments via Stripe; and improve the app through anonymized analytics.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted in the EU). Payment information is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our servers. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. Analytics cookies are only loaded after you give consent via our cookie banner. We use essential cookies/local storage to maintain your session and preferences. No third-party advertising cookies are used. You can change your cookie preferences at any time in Settings.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under EU/EEA law, you have the right to: access your personal data; request correction or deletion of your data; object to or restrict processing; and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@l-plate.ie.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

8. Children's Privacy

L Plate is intended for users aged 16 and over (the minimum age for a provisional driving licence in Ireland). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
