L-Plate is a driving theory test preparation app for the Irish driving theory test. It provides practice questions, mock tests, progress tracking, and AI-generated feedback. L-Plate is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Road Safety Authority (RSA) of Ireland.
L-Plate (l-plate.ie) is operated by John Fox, sole trader, Old Court, Manor Kilbride, Blessington, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. You can contact us at support@l-plate.ie.
While we aim to help you prepare effectively, we cannot guarantee that using L-Plate will result in passing your theory test. Your results depend on your own study effort and understanding. The "Pass Promise" (also described as the Pass Guarantee) is available to Premium users who complete at least three full L-Plate mock tests before sitting their real theory test. If an eligible user then does not pass that real test, they receive a free 30-day extension of Premium access. The extension is not a refund.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, the App Store, or Google Play. Subscription prices are displayed at checkout and may change. Monthly and Queue Jumper subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Weekly Premium purchased directly on l-plate.ie is a one-time seven-day pass and does not renew. Weekly Premium purchased through the App Store or Google Play is an auto-renewing subscription under the renewal price and period shown by that store at checkout, and renews until cancelled through the store. Lifetime purchases do not recur and include Queue Jumper Standard. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with EU consumer rights and the store or payment provider rules that apply to your purchase.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. For a direct web purchase of one-off digital content (such as Weekly or Lifetime access), Stripe Checkout requires you to select an acknowledgement that expressly requests immediate supply and accepts that the withdrawal right is lost once supply begins. App Store and Google Play purchases use the consent and refund process shown by the relevant store.
For direct web services and subscriptions (such as monthly Premium, Queue Jumper, Centre Boost, or a mixed bundle), Stripe Checkout requires you to request that the service begin immediately. If you withdraw within 14 days of purchase, you will be refunded the amount paid less a proportionate charge for the service already supplied up to the point you told us you wished to withdraw. To exercise the right of withdrawal, email support@l-plate.ie with a clear statement of your decision.
Queue Jumper is a monitoring and notification service. You are paying for continuous automated monitoring of RSA test centre availability and real-time alerts when cancellation slots are detected. You are not paying for a guaranteed test slot, a guaranteed booking, or a guaranteed reduction in waiting time. Slot availability is entirely controlled by the RSA and other learner drivers.
Subject to your statutory right of withdrawal (Section 4), no refunds are provided for Queue Jumper subscriptions in the following circumstances: (a) you find a test slot through your own means or another service; (b) no cancellation slots become available at your chosen centre(s) during your subscription period; (c) a slot is detected but fills before you can complete booking; or (d) you are dissatisfied with the timeframe in which slots become available. By subscribing, you acknowledge that Queue Jumper provides a best-effort monitoring service and that the outcome depends on factors outside our control. Cancellation of your subscription stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.
Queue Jumper is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Road Safety Authority (RSA) or Prometric.
We strive to keep our question bank accurate and up to date with current Irish road rules and regulations. However, rules can change, and we recommend also consulting official RSA materials. AI-generated feedback ("roasts") is for entertainment and motivation purposes.
You agree not to: share your account credentials; attempt to reverse-engineer the app; use automated tools to scrape content; or engage in any activity that disrupts the service.
All content, including questions, roasts, design, and code, is the property of L-Plate. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
L-Plate is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the app, including but not limited to failure to pass a driving test.
