Delete your L-Plate account

You can request permanent deletion of your L-Plate account and associated data at any time.

Email request

Email support@l-plate.ie from the address you used to sign up. Include the word “DELETE” in the subject line. We action deletion requests within 72 hours.

You can also reach this page from Settings after signing in.

What gets deleted

  • Your account (email, name, authentication record)
  • All practice history, mock test results, XP, streaks, achievements
  • Subscription records (billing records retained 7 years per Irish tax law)
  • Any user-generated content (messages to Brendan, feedback)
  • Device identifiers and analytics events tied to your user ID

What is retained

  • Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics (cannot be linked back to you)
  • Billing and invoice records where retention is required by Irish Revenue (Tax Consolidation Act 1997) — typically 7 years
  • Security logs required under our fraud-prevention obligations (30 days)

Timeframe

Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request. You will receive an email confirmation once it is done.
